Note: For Western style handles go here.
Traditional Japanese cutlery comes with a softwood handle and a water buffalo kakumaki (collar). We offer a standard light wood & synthetic kakumaki handle on all of our knives. The light wood is very "grippy" and constitutes a simple, yet functional approach to these knive's handles.
However, we do offer more elaborate handles for our knives upon request. These handles are made using the finest exotic woods and non-ferrous metals (brass, copper, or .925 silver). Gold is also available upon request - but tends to make the handle VERY expensive.

We recommend the following handle lengths for the respective blade lengths:
Here are a few examples of our custom handle work:

Ebony wood main, combined with copper Kakumaki and spacers with Osage X Ebony wood mosaic

Cocobolo with copper kakumaki and spacers, banded Aprikum Padok over cocobolo over a light spruce burl.
