Currently, the work load status on existing orders is:
120 business days and beyond...
How does it work?
Our knives are hand made"per order". This means that when you pay for an item, and the order is processed, the making of your item will commence. The span of time between the moment you pay for the item and the time the item is ready for shipping may change according to the complexity of the item you seek, as well as the overall workload we face. Our work load progress bar system allows you to determine before your purchase what the approximate waiting period will be from the time of your purchase to the time the item is shipped. The stats are as follows:

Low: 30 business days.
Average: 60 business days.
Medium: 90 business days.
High: 120 business days and beyond.
Notice:
You must be 21 years of age or older to purchase any of the items listed on this page. By clicking the "Buy Now" paypal button you automatically agree to all of the terms and conditions of the sale as provided on our Terms of Service page.

Updated "bench marking" system for our prices:
Our knive handles are made from materials we keep in stock at the time of the order i.e. if we have rosewood but do not have cocobolo and you insist on cocobolo - your order may be delayed until such a time that we locate and import more cocobolo (this may take several weeks and up to 2 Months in some cases). This does not pertain to sayas which we only provide in either rosewood, acacia, or prosporis at the moment.
If you require any kind of special material which we do not carry, or that we cannot obtain locally, you must cover the cost of purchase and/or importing this material before we go ahead and purchase or import them.
At the moment, the average price of our standard knives is US $1.50 for every mm of blade regardless of spine thickness. (this means a regular (light wood + synthetic handle, and saya).
An "upgraded" handle (rosewood main + 1 copper spacer + ebony kakumaki) will increase the price of a piece by approx. US $50.00
A true custom made handle OR Saya will increase the price of the piece by US $100.00 (for each). This does not include carving or engraving and pertains to stack fitted handle work only.
Any engraving or carving will increase the price of the piece by at least US $150.00, but may increase the price considerably more, depending on the complexity of execution of the required design, presence of precious metals and / or gem stones in the work, and the time required to execute.
All orders must be payed for in full before we get started on them.
Example:
240 mm gyuto w/ 3 mm spine with kurouchi finish
Standard configuration: US $360.00
w/ upgraded handle: US $410.00
w/ Custom made handle: US $460.00
w/ Custom handle + Custom Saya: US $560.00
w/ custom handle + custom saya that include engraving and / or carving: US $710.00 at least.
w/ Togi work: US $994.00
Regarding blade finish:
Kurouchi: a naturally textured surface where the firescale is left on the blade and only the bevel is polished. (at no extra cost)
Hammer texture: Same as the kurouchi, but displays small hammer induced craters above the bevel. (at no extra cost)
Togi: A complete polishing of the entire surface of both sides of the blade using a large assortment of stones and hones, similar to traditional Nihonto sword polishing. ( 40% increase on the final price of the piece).
* Please note that ANY engraving on the blade requires Togi work be done on this blade as well.
If you would let me know what you intended budget for a project is, and what your time schedule is, I can perhaps make more educated suggestions.
